How would my work be monitored and evaluated?
Monitoring the quality of assessment is central to successful work-based learning. For that reason, assessor registration is reviewed every two years. In order to maintain registered assessor status, you will need to demonstrate you are meeting professional standards of assessment as well as meeting the needs of trainees and employers.
We believe you should be engaged in ongoing professional development so that your skills and knowledge remain current.
We monitor assessor performance through a moderation process. This process ensures all assessor decisions are fair and consistent. It also ensures the processes are robust and transparent. From time to time, we survey trainees about their work-based learning experience. The feedback from these surveys assists us to evaluate assessors’ performance and identify areas for improvement.
