We work with many people and organisations in the social services sector. This is how we stay in touch with and play a leadership role in the industry. However, we also have a number of formal partners. These partnerships are formed for a particular reasons and are unique to each organisation.
Wellington Institute of Technology (WelTec)
WelTec is working with us and various industry groups to develop the National Degrees in Social Work and Youth Work. These degrees will be delivered to the workplace through distance learning, online and multimedia methods, face-to-face tuition and group noho-marae experiences. The Association for Supported Employment in New Zealand (ASENZ)
Together we set the standards for the employment support unit standards and jointly approve the ITO qualified employment support assessors.
Te Kāhui Atawhai O Te Motu – National Collective Iwi Māori Social Services
We work together set the standards for iwi/Māori unit standards, qualifications and resources.
New Zealand Family and Foster Care Federation (NZFFCF)
We work together to set the standards for the whānau/families foster care unit standards and jointly approve the ITO assessors for these qualifications.
National Youth Workers Network Aotearoa (NYWNA)
NYWNA draw on their members to help inform our national youth work degree development. We also jointly approve the ITO youth work assessors, and we support their TOHU project by contributing to the funding for the project manager.
