Non-government social services organisations
The ITO is working with non-government organisations on a vision for the future of social services, which includes commencing a workforce development project “Skills for the Future of Social Care 2020”.

Alliance for professional social work leadership
The ITO has entered into an agreement to work in collaboration with the Social Workers Registration Board, Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers and Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Work Educators to support the ongoing standard setting requirements for Social Work.
