Where would I work from?
As a contractor, you will be based at your own home. You will need to provide your own office equipment and necessary resources.
You will need to do some travelling. Assessors travel to various workplaces to assess trainees. Wherever possible, the ITO prefers to assign assessors to trainees who live in the same geographical location to keep travel to a minimum.
Most assessors use their own vehicles but, from time to time, we may choose to provide rental vehicles or air travel. All bookings for rental cars or flights must be authorised and booked through the ITO national office in Wellington.
All travel is reimbursed as outlined in Schedule 2 of the standard Contract for Services and must be authorised by the ITO national office.
